Jaws of Experience is a new experimental post-rock band from London/Herts, UK. They create unique atmospheres by infusing their sound with accordion and incorporating live improvisation, drawing from a variety of genres.

Jaws of Experience is a new experimental post-rock band from London/Herts, UK. They create unique atmospheres by infusing their sound with accordion and incorporating live improvisation, drawing from a variety of genres – folk, prog rock, dub, psychedelia, jazz and minimalist classical. Major influences include: Bark Psychosis, King Crimson, Radiohead, Grateful Dead, Fairport Convention and Steve Reich. The band has its beginnings in early 2024, when Alex (guitar, vocals) and Giles (bass) met for the first time to jam. They soon added Darius (accordion) to the line-up. In early 2025 they met Marcello (drums). They spent hours improvising, refining their chemistry, and slowly working on material. In January 2026, they played their first gig, a battle of the bands at The Horn, and won the heat – the semi final will take place in June.
