“Music for becoming.”
LIAM Ex is an alt-pop composer and vocalist forging luminous worlds of truth, rage, and awe. Blending metal, pop, and poetic honesty, she creates explosive emotional releases that make listeners feel powerful, alive, and deeply understood.
LIAM Ex (born Laurel Adams) is a singer-songwriter whose work merges ethereal lightness with the heaviness of alternative pop, rock, and hip-hop. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Dallas–Fort Worth, she draws from the music of the 90s to today, creating songs that explore identity, memory, and the complexity of becoming one’s truest self. After years of keeping her art private, she realized her songs were meant to live beyond hard drives and notebooks. “They only needed me to exist,” she says. Her sobriety journey deepened this clarity, reconnecting her with the raw wonder of childhood—the instinctive power, the sensory memories, and the early moments that shape who we become. Her debut project In A Sense plays on “innocence,” reflecting the vivid sensations of youth and the courage it takes to be honest in a world that shrinks our awareness of our own power. With tracks like “Heaviest I’ve Been” and “Air Sign,” LIAM Ex explores the magnitude of being human.
