Marlowe is a Venezuelan-born, London-based artist making raw, confessional pop rooted in emotional honesty and storytelling. Their music turns vulnerability into something powerful, exploring identity, becoming, and transformation through an intimate yet expansive sound. Raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Marlowe later moved to Portugal as a teenager, where they began studying music, piano, and composition. There, they developed their songwriting practice and taught themselves production, saving up to buy their first Mac and drawing inspiration from artists such as Caroline Polachek and Prince. They moved to London to study Songwriting and Production at BIMM London, forming their first band and performing across the city’s live circuit. At 23 years old, Marlowe holds a Master’s degree in Popular Music, a formative period that sharpened their focus on authenticity, vulnerability, and emotional truth in sound. Alongside working day jobs, Marlowe built their practice through recording, releasing music, and creating community spaces, including events supporting queer audiences with safety, expression, and joy. Their music has received support from BBC Radio 6 Music, The New Age Magazine, Ones To Watch, and EQ Music. Live, they have established themselves across London’s alternative pop scene with headline shows at O2 Academy Islington and Camden Assembly, as well as performances at Hastings Trans Pride, Sebright Arms, Camden Club, and 444 Live. Their current project, SUBMISSIVE (RELOADED), is a bold, emotionally charged body of work exploring power, collapse, and self reconstruction, featuring singles including “PSYCHOPATH” and “Let Me Down.” At its core, Marlowe makes pop for the in-between states, where control and surrender blur, and music becomes a space for survival, release, and becoming.
