Pierre Dube is a South African music producer, DJ, fashionista, podcaster and content creator making waves across the entertainment industry. As the founder of Bantu APV (Audio, Photography & Visuals) and host of The La Dube Show, he blends music, visuals, and storytelling into a bold creative identity. Pierre’s love for music began at age 11, inspired by his cousin’s admiration for 50 Cent. This early exposure drew him into hip-hop culture, leading him to rap and form a high-school collective, Youngbloods Alien Gang, where he sharpened his skills as a writer and performer. After matric, he realised his true passion was production. Learning from YouTube and mentors Lwazi Duma and Talent, Pierre shifted from rapping to crafting beats, developing a sound rooted in trap but later expanding into Afro-house, Amapiano, deep house, and techno. A key lesson from Duma shaped his mindset: don’t wait for opportunities—go create them. Pierre also collaborated with artists like Brandon Dhludhlu and deep house legend Roque, experiences that helped refine his musical identity. He is part of KOA (Kids of Africa) alongside Sir Urban and Toya, a collective known for consistently releasing music inspired by authentic African rhythms. Podcasting was never in his plans until a friend encouraged him to share his knowledge. This led to The La Dube Show, a platform where Pierre interviews all walks of life and brings industry insights to the forefront. His journey expanded further when his friend Larry advised him to start DJing to reach wider audiences—an opportunity Pierre embraced fully. Through Bantu APV, Pierre continues to push the boundaries of multimedia creativity, merging sound, fashion, and visuals into a unified artistic experience that reflects the future of African storytelling.
