A.D.U.A is a Ghanaian artist from Accra creating raw, relatable music driven by real-life experiences and authentic vibes.

My journey into music started at an early age when I was in primary school. Back then, I used to sing and rap along to other artists’ songs, just trying to understand the sound and the feeling behind the music. Over time, that passion grew into something more personal, and I began writing my own lyrics, using music as a way to express my thoughts and experiences. Growing up, music was always around me. My dad was a DJ before he switched into driving, so there was always different kinds of music playing in the house. That environment really shaped me and helped me develop my ear for sound, rhythm, and creativity from a young age. Even though I make rap and Afro-inspired music, one of my biggest influences comes from Western country music. I’m drawn to the storytelling in it—the way artists talk about real-life situations and emotions. That influence reflects in my music, because I focus on creating songs based on real things happening around me, in my life and within my circle. Right now, I’m in the process of building my sound and my identity as an artist from the ground up. I haven’t focused on achievements yet—I’m more focused on growth, consistency, and staying true to myself as I develop. What drives my creativity is real life. My environment, my experiences, and the people around me all inspire the music I make. For me, music is more than just sound—it’s a way to express, to tell stories, and to connect with people on a deeper level. I’m on a journey, and I believe with time, dedication, and authenticity, my voice will reach far beyond where it started.
