Trish, formerly known as Trish Bales, is an Austin-based jazz singer specializing in sultry jazz and swing standards, performing with top local musicians and weaving in originals that carry the same smoky, timeless feel.

Trish Wesevich has been part of Austin’s vibrant music scene for more than 25 years as a singer-songwriter blending jazz, swing, and a touch of blues. Over the years, she’s shared the stage with many of Austin’s most notable musicians and held a beloved weekly residency at the legendary Momo’s before its closing. Recently returning to performing after a hiatus, Trish was honored to be part of the 2025 17th Annual Gram Parsons Tribute Show, joining a lineup of iconic Texas artists and songwriters. While her soul lies in jazz and swing, standards, originals and obscure finds, she writes in all genres including bluegrass, folk ballads and sultry blues. Her most recent song draws inspiration from her travels over the past year, including a Celtic-inspired piece written while in Newfoundland. With her signature warmth and storytelling style, Trish continues to craft music that reflects both her Texas roots and her love for exploring the wider world. “Music stays with you—it can carry you through hard times, celebrate your joys, and express what words often can’t. It’s something no one can ever take from you.” Songwriting is about heart and expression, and when you surround yourself with talented collaborators, your music can grow beyond what you imagine.” Trish is a respected member of Austin’s culinary community, with a background as a professional private chef, caterer, food writer, mentor, and now consultant. She’s especially known for providing thoughtful, gourmet meals during rehearsals—making sure everyone’s soul and stomach are equally fed. A passionate supporter of fellow musicians, Trish is often out listening to local artists and can frequently be found on the dance floor. As she puts it, “Austin, Texas is the place for music lovers. I’ll never tire of this town or take it for granted—I just love it here.”
