DOTTi The Deity is a genre-bending Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer whose distinct blend of Soul, Jazz, Neo-Soul, Yoruba Folk, and Pop has positioned him as one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary African music. Born in Ibadan and raised in Badagry, DOTTi began composing songs at age six, developing a sound he describes as “music for the future, inspired by the past.” His rich vocal presence and emotive writing continue to set him apart in an ever-evolving music landscape. Renowned for his captivating live performances, DOTTi leads his band, The Pantheon, delivering powerful, immersive shows that highlight his vocal mastery, storytelling depth, and musical versatility. In recognition of his artistry and growing influence, he was awarded the 2025 Future Awards Africa Prize for Music, a milestone that solidified his status as a rising creative force. DOTTi first gained national attention after winning the inaugural MTN Y’ello Star competition. His breakout hit “Forever Sweet” became a cultural favorite—surpassing 10 million streams, topping Spotify’s Viral 50 – Nigeria chart, and becoming a go-to wedding soundtrack. The song also appeared in notable Nollywood films such as Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Breath of Life, and Something Like Gold. In 2023, he released the acclaimed EP For You Knew Me, earning over 7 million streams and major playlist support across Nigeria and Ghana. His 2024 debut album, Madam Dearest Pt. 1, featuring Reminisce, Simi, Falz, and Etuk Ubong, debuted on Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums in Nigeria. DOTTi has collaborated with respected industry figures including Cobhams Asuquo, Tiwa Savage, RotimiKeys, Omawumi, and Mystro, and his songwriting and vocals have powered campaigns for GTBank, Airtel 5G, British American Tobacco Foundation, Dettol, and Polaris Vulte.
